ABOUT US

As the Instructional Technology Facilitators, our goal is to collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop plans that integrate technology. We plan on modeling hardware and software so teachers can better develop ways to provide 21st century skills to their students. We also research technology programs, conduct staff development in the areas of technology integration, and provide technology resources to staff.

With our assistance, teachers will be able to ensure all students are engaged in the use of technology by participating in technology enriched projects designed through the curricular areas. Exploring technology will allow students the unique opportunity to apply numerous academic concepts through practical hands-on applications, and all learners will gain essential skills that extend beyond the content and foster life long growth.

ABOUT ME

Technology has always been a passion of mine, but for many it can be a source of great frustration. It's my goal to show staff and students all the possibilities of what can be achieved with the use of today's technology, and at the same time relieve any negative perceptions or anxieties, previously caused by the use of technology.

I've been at Hamilton for a year now, but worked in a Technology Department for another school district prior to coming here. Before working in a school setting, I worked at the Genius Bar for the Apple Store in Marlton, NJ. It was while working for Apple, that I discovered how much I enjoyed introducing people to new and changing technology, and helping them with their technical issues and questions.

ABOUT ME

As a former middle school Social Studies teacher, I come to the Hamilton School District as a lifelong resident and product of its public schools.  I have always had a passion for technology and love to find new and exciting tools to utilize in the classroom. I think utilizing technology to create and collaborate will give students skills that will be necessary for them to succeed in the future.

As a facilitator, I hope to inspire teachers to try new things that engage students in using technology to create and discover the world.     I hope to offer a unique perspective as a former classroom teacher that understands the need to blend pedagogy, content, and technical skills in the lessons teachers are looking to implement in their classrooms.

ABOUT ME

I joined the Hamilton Township School District in 2009 taking on several different positions within

the Technology Department. I was your Webmaster, an Application Support Specialist, and was fundamental in creating our wireless infrastructure.

Taking on the role of Instructional Technology Facilitator allows me to combine my passion for education with my Computer Science degree. Having taught for several years myself, I understand the obstacles with trying not only to infuse technology into the classroom but also with trying to keep up with the latest technology trends. My objective is to make using technology less complicated and more enjoyable for everyone.
